Apparently this is a tough photo to come by...??? But I seem to have it so I though I would share with you guys. First of all what do you guys think of it?? I think it's gorgeous, somebody very talented built this cake! (IMHO) Anyways...Here's my dilema. A bride wants this cake and I can't figure out what the heck the outside is covered in...any ideas?? fondant?? white chocolate?? I'm really not sure. Here's the hilarious part. I e-mailed Dr. Phil to see if he can help me out... icon_lol.gif I hope he takes me seriously and doesn't think I'm just a loose nut...I'll keep you guys posted. In the meantime please help me brainstorm...

That's the clearest I can get the picture to be. The bride e-mailed it to me...

Was there a designer credited for making this cake? Maybe they have it on their website in a clearer photo. I think it looks like chocolate wraps done in sections but the top edges look ruffled too small to be chocolate, really not sure.

I'd love to know who the designer is...like I said the bride cut it out of a magazine and then I asked her to e-mail it to me so this is all I have to go by...

All I can think to say is "charge the heck out of it my dear!"...

To me it looks like modeling chocolate -- can't think of the book that had the technique for doing it in though... Of course, most of my collection is lent out to my SIL right now..

I saw a picture for a smaller scale cake in exactly that style in one of my wedding mags over the last two months and wondered how they did it, too. Want me to see if I can find it? It was probably a cake decorator ad.

You know icon_rolleyes.gif Dr. Phil's show yesterday was on stalkers icon_lol.gif . You might be careful what you say if you email him again icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif .

One internet site said the reception was at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Maybe you can get some info from them?

Beautiful cake- looks like a chocolate wrap to me, but, quite possibly some fondant technique!
