Somewhat recently there was a post that showed a tall (6"-8") sq cake that was decorated in a modern theme. I'd love to make something like it for my county fair but I can't remember where I saw the pic. Does anyone have any small, tall sq design ideas to offer?

Lynne, give us a hint what type cakes you like to do. There are tons of ideas on line.
This is probably not the cake you're talking about 'cause, well, it's a round cake. But it sure is super tall and this is the cake that came to my mind when I've read your post. This cake was posted in the gallery about a month ago by @Louiselovesbaking .

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. It helps some. Still not exactly what I was looking for. What I remember (from what was posted on here, but not made by the poster) is one somewhat like the 2nd and last one posted here by TruCake from pintrest but still more of a modern look yet very simple. Does that help as far as hints? I've never been on pintrest - don't even kn ow how to get there HA HA :( When I used google for 'tall sq cakes' I got all kinds of stacked wedding cake pix - not at all what I'm looking for.l Oh well guess I might have to go w/one of these ideas.
