I’m in desperate need of Perma Ice! I have learned that the manufacturer has stopped making it temporarily and none of the usual retailers have it. Does anyone have any they would be willing to sell? I would certainly pay the retail price and the shipping. Thank you!

Well, it's not Perma Ice, but I know some people use dry wall mud (spackling) to ice dummy cakes.  It is my understanding that it pipes quite well.  I have not tried it myself, so cannot swear to it.  You can purchase a small carton at the hardware store (or Walmart) and give it a try without a big investment.

royal icing will work to ice a dummy -- not sure how it will do for your exact situation without more info -- but it can attract ants

I have used dry wall spackling - it does pipe o.k. but I found it thick so could do just a little at a time before my hand would start to hurt (and I have heavy pressure to begin with)

You can thin dry wall mud/spackling with water.  My favorite kind comes as a powder that you mix with water to the desired consistency.
