Gumpaste Leaves- How To Fit Them
Decorating By kristiemarie Updated 25 May 2017 , 9:52pm by MBalaska
I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to put gumpaste leaves with my flowers on the cake. My question is how do you make the leaves so that they fit without putting them directly onto the flower to dry? Don't they look odd just sticking out from behind the flower if you haven't built the leaf onto the flower originally? Or am I missing something ?
Thanks once again!
You do a lot of wrapping with floral tape, then attach where you please and bend around to put in positions that you like. if you don't like it, just untape it and try again.
commercial gumpaste was used for these. Here is the link to the Forum thread that started me on my journey.............. http://www.cakecentral.com/forum/t/779172/need-feedback-plz-1st-gumpaste-leaves-with-wires
.... and if you get the flower bug start looking into the Craftsy flower tutorials, youtube, & the books that are available.
