This is so gross but I have been asked to make an emoji poop cake and I can't wrap my head around how to make it look like a "swirl." Any one have any suggestions? The customer says she would like for it to feed 15-20. Thanks!

poopSeems to be a popular trend right now - emoji poop Birthday parties, go figure. What about doing the cake with basic decoration and the baking some mini cupcakes or biscuits to sit on top with a poopie swirl and eyes etc? or Giant cupcake? or a cake with a carved round top?

Can't see how you could do a standard cake with a high enough swirl without going overboard with icing.

What about a brown beehive? Is that done with a beehive-shaped pan? You could easily add a top swirl and eyes.

I would stack an 8" layer, a 6" layer, a 4" layer and and an upside cupcake, carve the edges to round off and form a point on the cupcake at the top, then finish with buttercream or buttercream covered with fondant (which would yield a more detailed finished piece).  Good luck!

@SandraSmiley ‍ what you are suggesting is essentially what hey do in the tutorial I put the link to.

@-K8memphis ‍ so we shouldn't send you a poop emoji cake? Lol

Sorry, @kstevens!  I was just thinking how I would do it.  @-K8memphis, you could always think of it as the wizard's hat (or whatever it is) from Harry Potter.  Every time I see one, I think it looks like a pile of poop.  Hate that hat!

Thanks everyone! @k8memphis I wanted to turn it down because she booked for a Moana cake at first and then changed last minute

i hope all the orders you get from it are of a different nature!

kstevens -- let's not go too far with this -- chocolate is chocolate-- ahahahahahahaha

sandra, i looked it up, the hat,  yeah it does -- yuck --

miss. -- i'm sorry you gotta make that thing --

but that reminds me of a true story -- couple decades ago maybe even almost three decades -- i read in the paper that this cake decorator in arkansas got arrested for putting ex-lax, a chocolate laxative, in someone's cake icing -- ruh roh --

the caker had a difficult customer and she thought she could get away with doing that to get revenge or something -- but she got busted for her actions --

now this situation is completely different but it just reminded me of that old story -- the chick went to jail -- wish i could find a copy of it --

@SandraSmiley ‍ no need to apologize at all....I was just stating that you had the same thought as he tutorial = maybe it's the best way to approach it.

The poop emoji doesn't bother me but if someone asked for a realistic turd or one of those God awful headless baby butt cakes.....that's a different story! Lol

Personally, I would not do the poop cake either OR the baby butt!  I don't know why people think they are cute.
