
Chocolate Chews
1 pkg. chocolate cake mix 2 1/2 cups CoolWhip, thawed
1 egg powdered sugar
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease baking sheet. Combine ingredients - stirring thoroughly till blended.
Drop by rounded teaspoons onto greased sheet. Dust with powdered sugar. Bake 12-15 minutes. Cool 1 minute before removing off baking sheet to cooling rack.
Fudge Rum Balls
1 pkg butter recipe fudge cake mix Ingredients called for on box to make cake
1 Tablespoon rum extract or liquor 1 cup finely chopped nuts
Mix as directed & Pour into 9x13x2 pan; bake as directed on pkg. Cool well.
1/4 cup UNsweetened cocoa powder 2 cups sifted powdered sugar
more finely whopped nuts 1 Tablespoon rum extract or liquor
Crumble cake well into large bowl & stir with fork until crumbs are very fine. Add sugar & cocoa to bowl and stir well to blend. Shape heaping tablespoons of mix into ball. Roll in nuts, pressing firmly to adhere. Let dry 1 hr before storing. Makes 6 dozen.
Gingerbread people
1 pkg spice cake mix 1/3 cup dark molasses
1/2 cup flour 2 teaspoons ground ginger
1/3 cup oil 2 eggs
nuts and raisins
In large bowl mix ingredients as listed. Dough will be soft. Refrigerate 2 hours.
Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
On floured surface Roll dough out to 1/4" thickness and cut with cookies cutters of choice. Place on UNgreased pan 3" apart. Decorate as desired with raisins and/or nuts. Bake 8 to 10 minutes till edges start to brown. Remove from pan immediately upon removing from oven. Cool well on racks.
