White Chocolate Ganache For Drip Cake

Hey All,
I am trying to make one of those brightly colored Katherine Sabbath inspired drip cake. I need to make one with bright red ganache dripping and the other with bright purple, so I thought I'd use white chocolate candy melts to do it and then just add the gel color.
I am having a really hard time finding a recipe for how to make it though! I thought I read somewhere that this type of dripping ganache has to be prepared differently than "regular" ganache in order to get the drip effect and with white chocolate it is also different just because of the composition of white chocolate. Is this correct? I don't need to make a lot, just enough to coat the top of then drip off of a 6" round cake made of three layers.
If anyone has a recipe I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!
