I need to do this cake for 50 gue"rainbow party inspiration from whimsically detailed" <----but possibly as a full circle instead of a rainbow?:st. Anyone have an idea what size cake I need to bake.

They want it just like this one.

Thanks. LindaB

i would maybe exceed the 50 servings a bit but you have to sometimes because of the shape  -- I would bake one 15 or 16 inch round  and let it dome up in the oven -- then i would trim off the dome reserving it for later --  and cut the remainder into half moons and stack and sculpt to make the rainbow shape -- then use the dome & trimmings to fashion the clouds -- you might need to bake an extra 6" to get the right shapes  -- you're going to need to get a jumbo star tip to make one row for each color to span that size cake kwim -- so trim accordingly

I mean maybe you could use a 14" and bake off some 5's or 6's for the clouds -- that would be closer to the right amount of servings -- that would work too

I did one like this before it isn't easy but I used a rectangle cake pan of course my cake was a little bigger for more ppl but it was easier to cut a stencil out and use that to cut onto the cake because my cake was color layered as well.... can't wait to see your beauty when it's done :)
