Does anyone know if Publix/ Walmart will print an image on wafer paper for me if I supply them with the paper?

I did. The answer is only if I use their paper and its $8 a sheet. I might as well just invest in my own printer.

They are in business to make a profit. While the actual decorated cakes are sold at a loss, edible images are not.  While they may literally only pay about $1 for a plain edible image sheet and not much for the actual ink, keeping an edible image printer happy and working can be a major expense. They are also paying an employee to make the image for you.

$8 is on the low side. I've seen prices more like $10. On my cakes when an edible image is used, like for a message banner with several words, I charge $15
