I'm a newbie here. Just a quick question. Besides crisco, what is a coconut free shortening please?

<gentle sarcasm>Butter is coconut-free.</gentle sarcasm>

Seriously, though, I wouldn't mind knowing this myself, although "coconut-free" doesn't necessarily equate to "healthier than coconut grease" or "rainforest-destruction-free."
I've always done all my BC all-butter. My cookies are always half-butter, half-margarine. My turkey dressing is always half-unsalted-butter, half-salted-margarine, while my Rice-a-Roni is always a mix of salted butter and canola oil.

A[B]ts due to an allergy. Personally straight bc isnt as stable to me. [/B]

Any Hi Ratio SHortening is coconut free ..
