ASince there always seems to be so many questions on pricing, (and I am no expert still trying to figure things out myself before I start my business), I thought I might throw this out there in case it helps someone. (I haven't seen a post on this yet, so if there is I apologize for double posting in case I just missed it but I did do a search for it and nothing came up :)
There is an app for iPhone/iPad (don't know if it's available for android) available for purchase called Cakeulator. I got it a few months ago and am still going through the process of adding ingredient prices (it comes preloaded with prices on many items but I don't know how accurate they are so I prefer to update the prices myself with what I see at my local grocery store.) I have priced (but not actually sold, since I am not a business) the past few cakes that I have made, like the ones for my own kids birthdays and such, just to see what I should charge if I was in business selling to someone else. I realize this app is far from perfect, I have even emailed the creators with things I didn't like about it (in a nice way I hope, at least that was the intent) in hopes that maybe they can fix those things in a future update. It is pretty eye opening though how much a cake *should* cost. When I get my business started I think I would like to purchase cakeboss, but since I can't sell my cakes yet that is too big an investment at the moment. The Cakeulator was only $6 or $7 I believer and it might be beneficial to some others just trying to begin to figure out how to price their cakes.
I hope this helps someone!

AI put cakeulator into the search bar on the App Store and it came back no results found. Any suggestions?

Did you find it yet? It is there - I just searched and found it. I love it - although you really have to tinker with the profit settings. It is by CakeBaker Apps Ltd.

AI found it on my iPhone, but not my iPad. Is there not an app fir the iPad?

I'm not sure about an iPad version. I will tell you that I have the profit percentage set at 200 percent, I think, which gives me 3 times my costs (ingredients/labor/pkg).

A...so when you downloaded it to your phone it went to the iPad as well, but work done on either device doesn't transfer to the other. I would like to thank you all for all of the advice.
