Vibrant Orange... Does It Go With Gold Or Silver Better?

Hi everyone

 

I'm designing a cake with vibrant orange tulips and I want to airbrush the fondant either gold or silver.

I'm thinking maybe silver but would love to hear everyone's opinions on these colour combinations and which you think is better.

I like silver too.   But I love contrast.

Orange and gold though reminds me of a saari (from India).

AGold is softer and a nice nod to fall. Silver is more modern. My vote is gold but it depends on the direction you want to go with your cake. Can you post a pic of your tulips?

I think it depends on the style overall. I do like the contrast of silver and orange, but I love the richness and drama of gold with it.

IMO, the more vibrant oranges look great with gold but I really like the more toned down shades with silver.   Style and personal preference are big factors.

I like either, depends on the look you're going for. Modern and a tiny bit edgy, silver; more classic or softer, gold. I LOVE the orange and silver wedding in the link!
