When I did mine, I believe 27 cupcakes I used a 14 x 18 board...didn' t leave much room but it worked fine.
Mine was 27 cupcakes and I believe the board is 14 x 18 or 20...yikes bad memory.
AYou could trim it or add a message on the bottom.
i just did one of these. it was 27 cupcakes and I used 1/2 a sheet of foam core. it was just so much cheaper than the cake board and i needed every inch, anyway. i think it came out to 18x24

I have a 18"x26" board....it may be a bit big but better that than too small :)
Try the Wilton anti-humidity BC recipe. It's the one I swear by and I live in heat every day. Reduce fat and increase sugar 1:4 ratio.
