Black Gumpaste Help!!???!!!!!! Need Fast Answers!!

This may be discussed here already, but I looked through some threads that I searched and did not get an answer, and I need help fast as I have to get a grad cap made today so it can dry!!
I am tinting gumpaste, made myself using wilton gumtex and the recipe on the can. I have great success with this recipe and have used it often. I need jet black, and for some reason when I add coloring, it is going GREEN!!! I knew I was going to need this, and needed some a few weeks back so I made a full batch, tinting black as I made it, and ended up with dark forrest green gumpaste!! I was using Wilton black. I made a fresh batch of gumpaste yesterday and started slowly adding color to make it black, as adding while mixing didnt work for me, and again... GREEN!! This time I have Americolor black!! Fortunately I didnt add to my entire batch, so I have started again with a smaller piece and added cocoa to it, and then added black, and it is better, but still has a slight green tinge... has ANYONE had this problem, and what did you do to fix it?? Thanks for your quick answers as I need to get this done ASAP and live in a small town, no access to black fondant or anything readymade.
I always have success with Americolor black...but not with Wilton. let it sit for a little bit and let the color develop...HTH
Thanks for the replies... I used Wilton with what I did a few weeks ago... I wasnt able to use it, but saved it, and it didnt get black as it sat, it is still green!! I will use it when I need a dark green 
Today I was using Americolor, and had the same problem. I managed to make it useable by adding cocoa, then a bit more black, but it still has a bit of a green tinge. I cant paint it as I need it dried in a couple of days and I have enough trouble with the humidity here as it is!!!!

I tinted my gumpaste with wilton black for anemone centers and it was fine came out a deep black BUT I have had the color from last year or so. Could it be the new batch is messed up?
Tarttokig is right add some red it should make black. (red, yellow and blue makes black) you have too much of yellow and blue which makes green.
I will try adding some red... yes, the Wilton black was new when I used it, but the Americolor black that I have and tried today did the SAME THING!!! Ahhhh!!

AI make a cap with black or dark choc.melts by wilton. Add more candy black if needed.. Cover small cereal bowl with foil. Then dip in choc. for cap. Place in frezzer. Use 8x8 baking pan line inside with foil. Pour a small amount for 1/8 thickness. Freeze too. Later melt enough to glue cap n square. Use a hot knife to shape cap to have point in front like caps do. . Make tassle out of foundant. It was big hit !
