How Much Filling To Fill Cupcakes?

I'm trying to get a feel for how much filling I need to fill a bunch of cupcakes. Does anyone have an idea of say how many cupcakes 2 cups of filling will fill, or vice versa, how much filling is needed for say 2 dozen cupcakes? Thanks!
The amount of filling in a cupcake depends on
1. the type of cupcake - it's crumb, texture, and density
2. the size of the cupcake. - 4 oz [1/2 cup], 3 oz [1/3 cup], 2 oz [1/4 cup] etc
3. how you fill - sliced, cored, inserted etc
4. the consistency of the filling,- wet, moist, dryish etc
1-2 tablespoons per cupcake seems to be an amount for 4 oz [1/2 cup] size
2 cups is 2x 16 tablespoons
