AIm baking goodies for my sister-in-law's gender reveal party for their first baby. I know to get grease proof papers. BUT I can't decide between typical/standard liners or the candy cups.
I like the idea that with the candy cups you don't need to use a cupcake pan. But are they challenging to remove from the cupcake? Lastly, for anyone who chimes in tell me what you think.
Two single tiers side by side. One with a pink football helmet, one with blue to match the theme of Team Pink or Blue. Then pink/blue cupcakes circling the corresponding tiers. Place a matching gum paste football helmet on top.
Thanks all!

i like the cake/cupcake/helmet/pink/blue placement & all--but is this boy/girl twins???
that's not a reveal that's confusing!!! ;)
but as for candy cups versus cupcake liners
disclaimer--i've never baked in candy cups but
i have thought about this a good bit and i get A's in thinking
so i have thought about giving the candy cup rim two little cuts
to give the person a little place to start popping it out
random untested thought for you
test it maybe see whachu think but basically like you already know
- i'd use candy cups because it would be easier to decorate the straight up & down sides
- i'd use adorable cupcake liners because it's easier and there are ten thousand really cute ones
what a sweet party!!
there's this type too in case you didn't have enough choices

AThey will be revealing their *one* baby's gender. :-) I'm making a 6" single tier decorated pink and will display it next to a 6" single tier decorated blue.
Then they will simply cut into the pink if it's a girl. Hope that makes sense! I'm making both cuz I will find out along with all the other guests,...I won't know in advance.
Then the cupcakes are for fun. Thanks for your input!
