Pistachio Cake With Pistachio Frosting Question
Baking By littledee79 Updated 9 Jan 2013 , 11:19am by AnnieCahill

I was requested to make a Pistachio cake with Pistachio frosting and the frosting recipe I have is mostly whipped cream. I'm wondering if this cake is covered in fondant does it need to be refrigerated? I usually don't like putting fondant covered cakes in the fridge because they sweat when you take them out, so I'm unsure what to do. Plus this cake needs to travel 3 hours in a car. Even if anyone has a pistachio frosting recipe that would be ok out of the fridge that would work. Thanks so much

AI just add pistachio instant pudding and chopped pistachios to my butter cream, same with cake and its delish!

Thanks so much I wasn't sure about the taste but that will definitely work!!:)

It should taste yummy using your favorite butter cream your welcome!

You should definitely refrigerate it. The condensation isn't a big deal as long as you let the cake come to room temperature without touching it.
