Hey all,

I'm living in a really hot climate, and i was wondering if it's ok to keep wilton gel colors outside, or should i store them in the refrigerator,,, temperature here goes as high as 45 degrees Celsius. Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks^^

They'll be fine as long as you don't cross contaminate the container - in other words introduce anything on the tip of a toothpick or knife from the cake back into the bottle so that bacteria can grow. And keep them out of sunlight. should be fine. If you open a container and smell a strong odor, that's your clue to toss it.

I have kept some of them for over 10 yrs now.....always at room temp.
I even have some pre- jel colors - some as much as 50 yrs old!
