I am making a birthday cake for a friends dog and I was wondering about the Wilton colors and whether or not they are safe for Dogs. Would like to color the cream cheese to write his birthday message but don't want to do anything to hurt the baby!!
I guess it might depend somewhat on the dog's size, but my pup eats colored things fairly often (whenever I drop fondant on the floor or she counter surfs the kids' leftovers) and it hasn't hurt her at all.
Thanks for the info!! I actually used peanut butter w/ a little honey for writing the message this time...turned out pretty good! I have to make another cake for one of her other dogs in February so this info is very helpful! BTW, my dogs are counter surfers too!!
