Decorating With Cream Cheese Frosting?

Hi! Yes...I've decorated with cream cheese frosting, and I've found it to be wonderful to work with. Anything that you can do with buttercream, you should be able to do with cream cheese frosting. In the past, I've had great luck with the Crusting Cream Cheese Frosting recipe - I believe its somewhere here in the forums. I've thinned the frosting using milk. Hope this helps!

Look for the post by gdixoncakes with the subject either Crusting Cream Cheese Icing or just Cream Cheese Icing. Once I made the recipe correctly, it worked quite well for decorating. The only advice I would offer is add the liquid a little bit at a time. The humidity in your kitchen will make a big difference. I usually ice with the basic recipe, then add a little more powdered sugar to it for the decorations. I have a really hard time getting it stiff enough for roses, though.
