Hi All,

I'm looking into getting a stand mixer and googled like mad but couldn't find the answer to this - how many cake mix boxes fit in a kitchenaid/ cuisinart. If I'm hoping to be able to do between 1 and 3 boxes, would a 6 quart be enough or do I need a 7?

If you guys who use box mixes don't mind telling me how many boxes you get into your mixes, I'd love the information!

Thanks!

Hi Sheeny,

I have a 6-quart, and I'm able to put in 2 boxes of cake mix. I add extra flour and sugar among other things and I also always use butter with my boxed cake mixes and its filled to the rim. I use the shield so that it doesnt splash out of the bowl If you can get a 7 I'd do that for 3 boxes of mix.

Good Luck

I would go for a 7 qt. It's just much easier icon_smile.gif

I have the KA Artisan 5 qt. and do 3 box mixes at a time in it for my 1/2 sheet cakes all the time. I do use the plastic shield when I first start mixing.
