JROTC is having there Military Ball. The colors are red, white and blue. Instead of just doing a cake I decided to do a cupcake stand, although I do need a 6in cake on top of the stand, for some kind of Cake cutting ceremony. Anyway, just wondering should I do mini cupcakes or regular ? Also any ideas on decorations ? Thanks

I'm not very helpful with ideas, but you might check with the organizers that the cupcake tower will be ok. The cake cutting ceremony in military balls usually involves a sword, and they would have to take the 6" cake down for that, plus, it might look a little silly cutting into a 6" cake with a full sword! I'm sure you will make it lovely, especially since they are probably used to having sheet cakes for such occasions!

For decorations, I would keep it very simple, probably regular size cupcakes. Mini-cupcakes and ROTC just don't seem to fit well, to me. Maybe just simple swirls, each in a solid red, white, or blue.

Google fourth of july cupcake pictures and you will get plenty of ideas. I always do this for ideas on any theme you can think of.
