I have a huge collection of sprinkles, colored sugars and more. Right now I have them in those plastic drawers that are on wheels but those plastic drawers on wheels are not strong enough to hold all my sprinkles. Does anyone else have a large collection of sprinkles and if so how do you store them?

I have mine in clear tubs that fit onto my shelves. I turn the bottles upside down so I can see what is inside. My disco dust is in a small box with a clear plastic lid, again, upside down so I can see the colors. I'd love to hear how others store theirs.

I use bead containers like these, and a larger size with 12 deeper containers per box:

There is a pic of them in my photos filled with sprinkles. So I just pick up a few of these boxes and bring them to the table with me to work. When I was bringing the larger containers, I didn't have much work space left. I refill them as necessary from larger bags that I keep in covered plastic boxes. Sanding sugar is still in 4 oz bottles -- I have a plexiglas spice thingy that will hold 18 bottles.

This is a nice idea but I don't want to have two sets of sprinkles, I alreadly have too many, this would double everything.

Not really on topic. But the title reminded me of this picture.

I use clear tupperware and i put the containers in them depending on the type and then the colors for example: red and pinks and purple jimmies go into one and then I stack them up. on a shelf I just like to keep them grouped together so they are eaiser to get to. HTH
P.S the bead box would be good for small amounts of assorted sprinkes! Great idea

Do you have a picture of them you can take to show me? I am still waiting for more ideas, I was hoping I would get more posts.

i have a toolbox that i keep my "caking" supplies in. its got a really big compartment under the lift out shelf in it that has enough room height-wise for even the tall wilton sprinkle containers. i never thought about turning them upside down so i can see whats in them...will have to do that. Walmart had the toolbox on sale for $15 that had a smaller box in with it. i use the smaller box to put my candles for birthday cakes in so they dont get lost in my big box if their containers come open. also...the snack size ziploc baggies come in handy for storing the bottles of liquid frosting color, just in case they leak. which inevitably they will...

Thanks for posting that picture , I'd seen it before and couldn't remember where.....As far as storing sprinkles- I use GladWare containers, they come in all sizes so they work for whatever amount of sprinkle I have, the bad thing about storing sprinkles in compartments , like the the beading organizer, is the "cross-contamination" of one type of sprinkle into the other sprinkles. Also, if you are clumsy, and foresee dropping a container in your future, you would only want to spill and replace one type of sprinkle and not destroy your whole collection in one foul swoop!

Here's a pic of the sprinkles in one of the bead cases. It's usually a decent working amount of various sprinkles. I know it's double containers, but I have bought a bunch of them in one lb. bags, so there's more than would fit in a typical container anyway. I have so many different ones (100ish?), that if I were to try to bring standard size containers to my workspace, there wouldn't be any space left to work. These are clear all the way around so that helps to see the contents. I think four of these cases stacked would be no taller than a typical 4 oz sprinkle/sugar bottle.

I just had to post on this one. My granddaughter came over before Christmas to make chocolate covered pretzel rods and was floored by my sprinkles. We got a really bit laugh out of it. I have a silvertone stand that has 2 levels that held candy jars (used it for wedding candy buffett) I took the jars off the bottom shelf and replaced them with the clear bottles that sprinkles come in after I removed the labels. I change them for the different holidays. The only problem I have is that there are too many sprinkles to put them all up. The top jars usually have something like M and M, kisses and some other kind of candy in holidays colors. It is very festive looking and blends in with the current holiday theme. Of course my husband just laughs about me coordinating them. LOL

This is how I store my sprinkles. I mostly buy in 12-16oz bags so these containers work nicely. The ones with the colored lids (red or blue) are just glad containers. The larger ones (which I just found at Jo Ann Fabrics and am terribly excited about!) are food safe containers that can really hold a lot of sprinkles. The glad ones are about $1/tub. The larger ones are $3/each, but I found them on sale for $1.49/ea!
I wanted to use containers like this so they doubled as decor in my all white commercial kitchen! It so happy to look over at all the colors!
hmmmm... sorry not sure why the pic is not loading????
