I m planning on making my first Halloween cookis and i m clueless :
How do i make colored sanding sugar stick on cookies?

I used piping gel. I'm not sure if there is another way but since I had never used sanding sugar on my cookies I wanted a fool proof way. I think you can also add it after you pipe the RI/Glaze just before it get's hard.

hi, I love my sugar. I pipe my normal icing. Then sprinkle the sugar onto the design and shake the excess off. I make sure that all my other icing is perfectly try and do my sugars as the last step. have fun.

I show how here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/montrealcookies/4940378234/

I love your cookie video ..What icing recipe do you use to get the icing so plyable and stringy?

I use corn syrup. I use a paintbrush to apply a thin coat over the entire cookie (either plain cookie, or cookie covered in fondant) and the apply my sprinkles. Gets a little messy, but it works for me and they dry hard.

That's definitely what i was looking for - thanks !
