I will be in the Austin and San Anotnio areas for work all next week and was wondering if anyone knew any good stores to find cake stuff. I by no means "need" any of it, but I plan to check out the william sonoma outlet and was hoping for some specialized shops too if anyone has any ideas.

thanks for the help in advance.

I live in Dallas and any time I make it down to Austin I go visit the All in One bake shop. http://www.allinonebakeshop.com/default.asp

They have the BEST sprinkles selection I've seen in a bake shop. They also have a TON of sleeve fillings and different pans. The only thing that stinks is you can't carry the sleeve fillings on. You have to check your luggage.

The people are really nice too. On a totally unrelated cake topic, go have dinner one night at Shady Grove in Austin and order the cheese fries...they're the best in the stateicon_smile.gif

Have Fun!

In San Antonio, AGS is the store to visit. They've got a location at Blanco and 410 and another at Blanco and 1604. The one at Blanco and 410 is at least twice as large as the other one. They've got all the goodies there...stuff that you'd expect to have to order online.

There's also Terry's on El Monte, but they carry mainly Wilton, and a bunch of cake toppers and stands. Lucy's has a couple locations but I've never been there...I've called them a couple times because they're only 4 or 5 miles from my house but they've never had what I was looking for.

I second the All in One recommendation. I used to live in Austin and I miss that place! I'm also going to be in San Antonio later this month - does anyone know of a good shop there? I'm visiting my inlaws and my SIL recently got into decorating and I think it would fun to take her shopping icon_smile.gif

Definately All in One Bake Shop! The ladies there are great and are so friendly. They are always willing to answer your questions or help you with anything. They carry a lot of different products!

Have fun in Austin next week. I was born and raised here...love it!

AGS at 410 and Blanco, in the plaza center where Central Park Mall used to be.
