I am going shopping, like, right now. I was hoping I could get a quick answer. I tried searching through the forums, as Im sure people have asked this before, but I couldnt find anything.

I need a cream cheese filling for a fondant cake for this weekend. I usually use my white chocolate cream cheese recipe, but honestly I REALLY dont like the way it tastes. Its just weird. I was hoping to get an actual cream cheese frosting for this cake that can sit out for a few days.

On the cans, it usually says to refridergate after opening, but I wonder if it will actually go bad? Or if that is just for the consistency to stay correct? I worked at a grocery store that said the cream cheese icing had to be refridgerated, but that was only so it wouldnt melt off the cake...so I didnt know if maybe these are the same.

Can someone tell me with CERTAINTY if these canned cream cheese frostings can sit out? Thanks!

Yes, they can sit out. There should be no dairy in them...look at the ingredients to me sure. Many people frost cookies with them and don't refridg. cookies afterwards. Have fun!

Thank you! I think the can did say it contained milk ingrediants...but Ill have to look at it again. I had to leave since I didnt get any responses from anyone in time, and I just bought a can anyway. I had to leave half my groceries in the car, though because it was pouring outside! Ill take a look tomorrow. Thank you!
