Hi everyone. I am looking for a pound cake glaze that does not become translucent / transparent. I mixed conf. sugar with milk and pour it over a pound cake but it "disappeared"? Looking for a glaze recipe that stays white and kinda thick and stays white.

Thanks

The more powdered sugar you use in the glaze, the more opaque it will stay. You just have to find that right amount where it's thick enough to stay and firm up opaque but is still loose enough to pour.

Thank you for your reply. Wow, it sure sounds complicated, more than baking the cake LOL.

Have a great day,

Also, let your cake cool. That way the glaze stays on top and will be white. The glaze will absorb into a warm cake.
