I'm doing a cake this weekend and she wants lime green. What colors should I use to make it? Or is this a color I can buy? Please help icon_sad.gif

Hey!

You can buy green food coloring - the Wilton one I use always ends up looking lime green when I use it with fondant.

Americolor Electric green makes a lovely lime color. I used it for the lime pea-pods on the pink/lime baby shower cake in my gallery.

Witon Lemon Yellow (lots) and a touch of kelly green. Add the green a little at a time until you get the shade you want.

Yup...that's probably what I'd do too. Definitely lemon yellow with a touch of green. I tend to use a lot of straight fd&c colors, so that would be a lot of Yellow #5 (bright lemon yellow) and a touch of Blue #1...
