thanks lol, but does anyone have an answer to my question??? LMAO!

scientifically speaking according to the recipe, I dont think you could use liquid.
why: recipe.. When you put the candy in your mouth, the sugar dissolves, and the citric acid and baking soda combine,
It sounds as if you need the crystals. maybe they dont melt completely at the temp given. if you add liquid it might react immediately.. which could also be fun!!

darn, where can i get the crystals do you think?

ther eare some home brew kits at my grocery store! I will check there!
Will it be called Citric acid crystals?

ok got the citric acid!
Now just one more question.
In the recipe it calls for " a small about of water and a small amount of corn syrup"
How much should I use? I was thinking a tbsp of both.

I don't know...but I'm glad to have the recipe..thanks I love pop rocks.

I got it at a winery, but I heard you can order it from the pharmacy!
I put in about 3 tbsp corn syrup and 1/4 water... we will see how it goes!

I just really wish they wrote out the recipe with the proper measurments!!
*sigh* we will see how it goes

ok first batch resulted in a " burning" tounge sensation lol
This time im going to try a regular hard candy recipe with the baking soda and citric acid.
ATTEMPT #2

Unfortunatly,
I think thier version of "pop" is actually fizz burn lol
Oh well.
Anyone have any sour candy ideas??? I have all this cirtic acid now lol
