A friend of mine is about to have her book release party and I wanted to make a cake for her. How do you make the book look real. I'm getting the cover printed on edible paper but I'm worried about how to make the cover over lap the book part and how to make the pages look real. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You just cover with two different pieces of fondant. I did a Harry Potter book - http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-photo_1741849.html - and wrapped the white fondant around the three sides to be the pages, and made indentions so it looked like pages (can't really see it in the pic, I don't think). Then I rolled out another piece of fondant to go on the naked side and the top. then I just put a small strip along the bottom edge to look like the bottom cover. HTH
