You can download a truetype font called "Lego Thick" (Google it) and print yourself an example of the boy's name with the letters in the right style. It doesn't do the outlining but that's easy enough to figure out.

I wanted to use the lego logo...but instead of it saying "LEGO" I wanted to use the bday boys name...I cant find how to make that.

Try this site, they have lots of downloadable fonts for free! The "Lego" font is #270 http://www.typenow.net/themed.htm Just download it to your computer and pull it up on word or text edit or whatever writing program you use, type the boys name in it, print it out and use an exacto knife to cute out the letters on fondant or gumpaste.

Not to try and change your mind or anything; but if it's a lego theme, why not write the kid's name in piped lego blocks.
