I plan to make the white velvet cake recipe for my daughters birthday cake. I found the recipe on this site, as well as a cookies and cream filing that sound yummy. I was wondering if that filling flavor would contrast with the white velvet cake, or should I use a more fruity filling like strawberry mousse.

Any suggestions or ideas for those who have had this cake flavor? What filling would complement it best?

Thanks
Eve

Raspberry is a classic accompaniment to white chocoalate. The flavor is mild enough that darn near anything would be good: other chocolates, berries (rasp/strawberry), macadamia, vanilla, orange, cream cheese and toffee / caramel come to mind.

I'd go with the strawberry mousse for the white velvet cake! I put cookies and cream with chocolate cake - but that's just me.

The strawberry mousse sounds like a better choice for the white velvet cake. I make the white velvet all the time and raspberry bc compliments it very well. It is one of my favorite white cakes.
