I'm trying to come up with a playlist of cake or dessert related songs. So far I have:
Pour Some Sugar On Me - Def Leppard
I Want Candy - Bow Wow Wow
The Sweetest Thing - U2
Cherry Pie - Poison
Could anyone please suggest more songs?! Otherwise this will be a pretty short/lame playlist and I'll have to come up with other background music.

sugar sugar- the archies
Lollipop- (unknown)
Candy shop- 50 cent (not about candy tho lol)
HTH

Since I'm never going to live this down, here's my contribution to the subject: http://cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-666632-.html

What about "Rock Candy" by Montrose? (I love that song!)

Strawberry Fields Forever" - The Beatles
"Cherry Cherry" - Neil Diamond
"Big Rock Candy Mountain" - Harry McClintock
"Sugar & Spice" - The Cryan Shames
Candy Man- Sammy Davis, Jr.
Sugar Shack- Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs
But most songs about sugar, spice, and sweets are not REALLY about that!

sorry i heard peaches so i have to sing "I like you peaches, can I shake your tree?"

what about "truly scrumptious" and "toot sweets" from chitty chitty bang bang?!?!?!?!

Here's one that's cute and light-hearted. Not exactly cake but candy and lollipops. This was played during the credits of Will Ferrell's movie Stranger than Fiction. The movie were he met the baker Maggie Gyllenhaal. If you didn't stay for all the credits you missed it.

Hey, what about Donna Summer's MacArthur Park ("Someone left the cake out in the rain...")?
MacArthur Park was written by Jimmy Webb, recorded by Richard Harris, and covered by several other artists (including Andy Williams, whose version I'm most familiar with), back in the late 1960s and early 1970s, back when the late Ms. Summer was still languishing in obscurity as a background singer.
The error that appears in almost every performance ("MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark" instead of "MacArthur Park is melting . . .") originated with Harris; repeating his error seems to have become a tradition.

On a more relevant note, how about Marvin Hamlisch & Howard Liebling's "Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows" (as sung by Lesley Gore, and as used in the 2009 film, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs).

I LOVE Cherry Pie by Warrant and Cream by Prince.
