Cookie Scoops - What Size Do You Use?
Baking By Mrs-A Updated 13 Jan 2010 , 3:23am by pinkflower1212

hello
its really hard for me to find cookie scoops down here (we dont even say cookies, we say biscuits or bickies) and im looking online and wondering what would be the better friendly sized scoop to buy
im not looking to make huge sized cookies - just nice normal bake friendly sizes so what do you use?
many thanks

Having managed a cookie store in the past, I can tell you that the 1 Tbsp scoop is the standard cookie size. This, depending on what kind of cookie dough you're using and how much you fill the scoop, will give you a 2 1/2" to 3" diameter cookie.

I have 3 scoops- 1T, 2T, and 3T. The 1T is perfect for normal-sized cookies and peanut butter when I am counting my WW points, the 2T makes a great "gourmet" cookie, and the 3T is a great monster cookie, and the perfect size for scooping cupcake/muffin batter into tins.
Mine are all Pampered Chef. I just bought my daughters some at WalMart (Oneida brand).

Mine is the 1T size. It makes perfect sized cookies for my kids and a 2 bite cookie for me. I love using the scoop vs a spoon from the flatware. I use it for everything!
