New to cake decorating and was wondering where to buy supplies in central ky other than michales and hobby lobby, Thanks

Usually, I have found it is easier to order online...gets here as quick as it is to go to a large city. UPS Hub is located in Louisville and it gets here as if it were next day air. If you are in Louisville area, go to St. Matthews, turn right on Westport Road and follow it to the Campbell Cottage (right off Westport Road). They have some really nice things. Michael's is very, very limited in choices and overpriced. There is also Williams Sonoma, but once again the price point is outrageous! Amazon is a good place to order online (they have a huge warehouses in Campbellsville and in Lexington, I believe) because it gets to you really fast. They stand behind their products, and I have never had a problem returning something. It is so much easier to order online...

I found a place in Louiville called Bryants.

Fantasy in Frosting is VERY worth the drive.
Blessings!

* glad to find out about this place, looks like I'll need to take a day trip soon
http://www.bryantscakeandcandy.com/
* always amazing customer service, willing to order things you ask for if not stocked, occasionally will choose to stock new things based on recommendation
http://www.conwaysconfections.com/
* site doesn't seem to be working tonight, very small location, has good quality supplies, but I've found to be the smallest selection

I live in southern Indiana but work in Louisville, KY. Across the bridge from Louisville, in New Albany, IN is Cake Ladies Dream Shoppe. She has it ALL -- cookie, candy and cake decorating supplies. If you haven't checked it out you're *missing out*! There is no website but she's located in the 1200 block of State Street ... and the shop is in the phone book. HUGE selection (more than Conway's).
