What Colors To Mix For Burnt Orange?

Wow who would have thunk it but this is what I found using google.
Red and yellow make orange, so to achieve a burnt orange start with a reddish orange base, then add blue to make the burnt orange color.

my dad mixed paint for a living and painted lamps soOo he says
"make your dark orange with red and yellow. add very little brown like maybe just a toothpick dip or drop." hope it helps

She made it clear she doesn't want rust color. The orange I have which is Wilton brand isn't a dark orange. I sure hope I get this coloring right.
Maybe you could dabble with the proportions of the red yellow and brown? I think that if you add a little more yellow to the mix it will be ok
I made burnt orange (you can see it in my TX Longhorns cake in my photos) using orange , ivory, and copper from the Wilton colors.
