I use it as is and it is great...I use a pretty thin layer

Does anyone know a good filling recipe that uses Nutella. I love the way it taste and think it would be good as a filling in chocolate cake.
I've tried searching for it but I can't seem to open the search page.
Thanks.
I use it straight. Since it is thick and hard to spread, I warm it in the microwave, then put it in a bag and pipe it on with a number 12 tip.

I did find this when searching but I haven't tried it

i whipped in ps to make an icing out of it...it was very good

Just last week I tried adding nutella to IMBC and it was pretty yummy. I used it as the filling and the icing. I think Whimsical Bakehouse has a nutella filling recipe but i didn't have any luck with it. I thought it was a bit unstable. Like PP I also microwave and spread a thin layer on cake usually when using a whipped chocolate ganache filling.

I can't eat it because I am allergic, but I did use it as a filling a while back and everyone said that it was delicious. I whipped heavy cream and folded it in. I warmed it first to thin it out a bit, let it cool, then folded in the whipped cream. Hope that helps!

I make a regular buttercream and add the nutella in it and use regularly...taste yum!

I just found this recipe on-line. I plan on trying it tomorrow as a filling for sweet rolls. I'll probably dust the top of the sweet roll with powdered sugar. I know it's officially a "frosting", but it sounds delicious as a filling.
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- ⅔ cup Nutella or other chocolate-hazelnut spread
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Pinch kosher salt (up to ¼ teaspoon, to taste)
- 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
