I'm looking for a recipe for just a basic chocolate buttercream frosting. I believe the ingredients are butter, vanilla, powdered sugar, cocoa powder and milk ? I'm not sure if I'm missing an ingredient or how much to add of everything.
TIA

The one i use is:

CHOCOLATE BUTTERCREAM:

500g unsalted butter
1kg icing sugar
8 tsp boiling water (or you can use milk i guess)
2 tsp vanilla essence
60g sifted cocoa powder

Tastes yummy and you can halve or double the recipe if you need

I'm sorry but I don't understand those measurements. Is there some way I can find a conversion ?
Thank you so much for the recipe...it sounds like what I am looking for.
Does it pipe well ?

oh ok well i live in aust and that's the conversions we use lol

Do you use pounds or something? Let me know and i'll convert it

I havn't used the chocolate buttercream to pipe but i have used the recipe without the choco to pipe and it is fine to use for that, so maybe add a little less cocoa if you want and if you feel it's stiff enough to pipe with then leave it at that otherwise just add the rest in if you know what i mean

or if you want u can go here and convert them:
