My brother's birthday is coming up and my sis-in-law asked me to make a cake for him. His favorite tv show is Dexter and I'd love to make him a Dexter themed birthday cake. He doesn't want any fondant. My initial thought (and if you don't watch the show, this won't make any sense) was to do the dismembered and bow-tied Barbie doll with maybe a little red piping gel drips down the sides. But other than that, I'm running dry on ideas. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
It's my favorite show! How about the freight/cargo car thing they were found in with some blood dripping out of it? It may be a bit obscure, but if you watch the show you would get it. And it's a box, so that's a pretty easy shape!
What a cool idea! Love the show. I'd try to add some of the smaller details such as his butcher kit, black trash bags, plastic wrap and syringe. It's be cool to work in something to do with the ice truck killer too. I can't wait to see what you come up with. I'm sure it'll be wonderful. Good luck.
OOOOHH...you could do some of the different body parts in blocks of ice (gelatin?) Not sure how you'd do it or how it would hold up, etc. And you've gotta have blood spatter somewhere on the cake!

So many great ideas come to mind...Love the Ice Truck Killer idea with the doll parts, maybe you can put it in clear Isomelt.
But for me I would love to recreate the leather case and knives he uses to dissect his victims. Have it spread out on a rectangular shaped cake that is covered in the plastic like he does when he preps the kill site for his victims.
Ohhh or maybe better yet you could re create the scene where he has Frebo wrapped on the ladder with all the trimmings....
Oh way to may ideas...what ever you decide I think it is gonna be awesome and cant wait to see the pic's!
