

I have made a tennis shoe cake twice...the first time not so good...the second better. I don't know if there is a template, but I just try to look at a pic or a shoe and go from there. If you look in my pictures, there is a black and blue retro air jordan. Just make sure you dont cut off too much....




i dont know about there being a template as all the shoes are differant. if you can use a real shoe infront of you that will help. To make it look real be sure to carve away some cake from the arch of the foot and under the toe. Use a firm cake and do your crumb coat in ganache as it sets up better. It took me close to 12 hrs to carve, crumb coat, set up and decorate a pair of trainers that i did recently for a grooms cake. i just used the real pair in front of me for the carving and decorating.
