How Do I Make Maroon Color Frosting?

Hello, does anyone out there know a combination of Wilton Colors that I can mix to make a maroon color? I'm making a texas A&M cake, and thats the team colors. Thanks icon_smile.gif

Burgundy and red make maroon. If you don't have burgundy you can add drops of blue to red till you get the maroon you want.

Americolor makes a maroon color that works well.

I did this by accident, I added red-red to chocolate icing (thinking it would turn red easier) and it came out maroon. I also got some burgundy wilton coloring. The flowers came out purple at first and in my frustration I threw them in the freezer so I could calm down. The next day I pulled them out and they were maroon.

I did the same with the Americolor Red... I added it to my chocolate icing and it turned maroon... I loved my accident! icon_lol.gif
