I'm making a a tequila bottle cake and thought I could mold the neck out of Rice Krispie treats, so I bought a box of them. Is there anything special to do so that I can mold them into shape, like heating in the microwave? Or can I just use them right out of the box?
right out of the box..the warmth from you hands will do the trick.. 
I will only use store bought. I'm Rice Krispie Challenged. Cannot make them to save my life.
I just open them up and get right to it- no shortening or butter.

So am I!!! I have always felt like such a failure for that! I mean, come on, I can follow and execute some really difficult cake recipes --but I can't get a RKT to come out right????
