How about the recipe though???
Chicken Lasagna
16 Lasagna noodles, cooked (or use Barilla no cook noodles)
8 oz. sliced fresh mushrooms
1/2 t. salt 1/2 cup butter 1/2 c. flour
4 cups milk
16 oz. shredded Mozzarella
2 cloves minced garlic 2 t. lemon juice
2 chicken bouillon cubes, crushed
2 cups cubed, cooked chicken (leftover turkey also works)
15 oz. container Ricotta cheese mixed with 2 eggs
and 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
In large saucepan, melt butter. Add mushrooms, garlic, salt, and lemon juice. Sauté until mushrooms are tender. Stir in flour and crushed bouillon cubes. Blend well and cook over low heat for several minutes (helps lose "floury" flavor). Add milk; cook over medium heat until mixture thickens and boils, stirring constantly. Stir in chicken. Heat oven to 325 degrees.
To assemble: Spread 1/3 of sauce in bottom of a greased 9 x 13. Layer 4 noodles. Spread noodles with 1/2 ricotta cheese mixture and 1/3 mozzarella. Layer 4 noodles. Spread noodles with 1/2 remaining sauce. Layer noodles. Spread with remaining ricotta mixture and 1/2 of remaining mozzarella cheese. Layer last 4 noodles. Spread with remaining sauce and mozzarella cheese. Top with more grated parmesan.
Bake for 45 minutes. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving.

It is really good...very different. I use leftover turkey after Thanksgiving to make it or just use chicken breast. I usually add more garlic, because we like it. It freezes really well too. I made it for 275 people once..for a friends' wedding. Lordy....I sure got sick of making sauce!
Jodie
All I can say is JodieF if your chicken lasagna is 1/2 as good as your caramel recipe, than it's a keeper. I'm definitely trying this one out, thanks!
Who else wants to start throwing snowballs at edna?
70 degrees...aghh, my house isn't even 70 degrees inside today. The windchill is below zero outside and we have at least 12" on the ground. (snow that is) ![]()
I love CC. At it's best, we support one and care about one another....where else could you start a thread like this one (the Young and the Cakeless), and end up with a recipe for chicken lasagne (which I will be printing after this post)!?!?!
Again, I love CC. 'nuff said.

Shoot-I'm so sad nothing fun happened today.
Complete silence from OP, etc.
And I never got my photo of the asstactular kitchen!
someone please update me on what is going on here? I saw this post yesterday and then this morning it was up to 40 pages. I have just read the first 11 pages and now I am wondering if I should read the other 40??
Nope, go to page 38 to catch up on the OP answers...it's the same crap you read the first 12 pages...lol
I was wondering that, too. What was embarrassing to HER in the situation??? The baker, yes. But why was it to her?!?
I volunteer my golden retriever and 4 yr. old son to stink the place up.
kbak37, please settle this once and for all......Can YOU see Russia from your house?

Still trying to find the end of this thread, but man that made me laugh!
And I have to add - I was VERY disappointed to see that I was NOT connected to a pink-haired stripper when I Googled myself. Just boring ol' me. *sigh* Depressing.
Haha...I wonder about that pink hair stripper...maybe she does cake porn
Edna
OMG-along the lines of cake porn-
A couple of weeks ago someone on the Weight Watchers message boards posted a link to a very skinny girl doing NAUGHTY things to a chocolate cake.
Makes you wonder what kind of cake she baked!...

The gals on WeWa said they would have never wasted a cake like that.
I can not believe this, I had not been here since last night and is now on page 54!!!! 800 posts, how many posts does Cakelurker have now? have not had a chance to check, but I think this post or CL has broken the record for the most posts in such a short amount of time, right?
Hey Ktbug103, didn't read all the coments on your topic..
But I only bake for friends or familly and when I do so, I use a disposable cap (where all my hair goes inside of it, to protect from hair coming off on the cake), food safe gloves, and a clean kitchen is essencial...
Even tough I bake from home, people are going to eat the cake and if they find something else in it(like a hair or something) I would have no clue where to hide from them ..lol
Cleanliness is number 1 when dealing with foods.
ok page 38 told me nothing.. I think it was before then that OP came back.. Someone please tell me why I am wasting my life reading this.. oh because I have nothing better to do with my life. *hanging head in shame*
