I was searching for different snowflakes patterns online and found these:
http://www.p22.com/free/snow.html
For those who are not that savvy with computers (like me) this is a font that you install to use with Word. Printed out several sizes and they are very pretty!
I have made some really intricate ones so far with RI. Let's hope they peel off of the parchment in one piece!

Thanks so much!! You did a beautiful job making them..

Thanks for sharing. These are so pretty. You did an awesome job. Like beemarie, I wish I would have had these for my daughters wedding cake last year. We hired the halls baker and the ones that she made were, ok, hideous. That was when I decided to go back into decorating.

Thank you! Perfect timing! I'm making a cake in two and a half weeks with royal icing snowflakes and I came on to find out how to do that. Thanks!

YOU ROCK! Thank you thank you.... etc... I have been looking for something like this. I have to start making snowflakes this weekend!

Thanks so much for posting your work & answering my PM, it's perfect for my cake due this Sunday.
I'm bumping it up so other people can see your beautiful snowflakes.

Thanks for the information- I needed this for an upcoming cake. btw I love you avatar.

How cool! I just finished my own RI snowflakes a couple of hours ago. I also used templates (my freehand ones look a little drunk), but not this one. Font snowflakes is a great idea and you can get any size you want! I also have a thing for 'real' snowflakes that are not all the same. I'll try to post pictures later

mmmmm The pictures look great but for some reason I am unable to download anything. Would you happen to have them saved in a word format?

well, it is a font program, so you actually download, it's in a zip format, you unzip, then when it's unzipped, you open up your control panel in computer, open up the font icon, and drag the snowflake icon onto the list of other fonts. you;ll see it install, and when it's done, go to Word, and drop down your font selections...should be there. select it, and type away. you just type out the alphabet, see which ones you like, blow them up, print them out...you're done!

I couldn't begin to explain how to walk you through it, it might be different on your system.I'm sorry it's not working for you! Maybe I could print some out and fax them to you, and you could copy them on a copier and enlarge/reduce as you see fit?

Thanks! Never worked with RI before, so it was a first

Ok, I uploaded the pic. Here are mine

I don't suppose you have the patern for some of those snowflakes that you could email me?
I'd be ever so grateful! I've tried to draw some freehand and they look like snowflakes from Louisiana. MELTY!
Both of you guys snowflakes are sooooo beautiful!
