I'm confused...seriously.
The thread subject is you need cotton candy cake and icing recipe/ideas
but
you know of the LorrAnn oils...I'm assuming this means you're aware of the cotton candy flavored oil....
what flavor combinations do you seek....
cotton candy flavored cake with cotton candy flavored icing...is that the combination you seek?

Well, to be specific, do you use vanilla cake or a fruit flavored cake? Do you pair the Cotton Candy flavoring with another flavor like maybe bubble gum? Has anyone tried it? How does it taste? How much Loran oil would you use? I am sorry I was not specific enough

Ooooooooooh. I've never tried it with cake or icing...in suckers, I have. It states that they're three times stronger than ordinary flavorings and certain flavors are even more potent than that...I'd start by reducing the added amount of flavoring to 1/3(if I normally put 1 tbsp, I'd put one teaspoon or one 1 dram bottle of lorann oil). If cotton candy flavor is the desired flavor, I wouldn't compromise it with any other flavor 'cept MAYBE vanilla...sometimes vanilla helps accentuate other flavors....now, thinking about it, the other flavors are more intense by contrast too...so, no, I wouldn't add any other flavor to it. I would add the cotton candy flavoring to a basic yellow or white cake for the truest of the CCF to come through...otherwise it would be cotton candy/strawberry, cotton candy/lemon, cotton candy/cherry....oh oh oh...what would be fun is if you added it to a funfetti type cake(I know, they're already vanilla based..but still)
