I am interested in learing what cake flavor combinations you have tried. How did they taste and would you make them again?
I am a newbie and am getting tired of doing van/choc with homemade royal icing. Today I am trying fudge choc with rasp filling and dark ganache. Hopefully it turns out good.

Mix some of the sleeved raspberry filling with chocolate icing and use that as a filling ... really adds a pop! to about any cake flavor! My brides order this a lot with choc cake and yellow cake.
Some of the combos my brides have ordered are:
Rum cake with apricot/pineapple.
Rum cake with banana filling (banana daiquairi)
Lemon cake with raspberry filling.
Coconut cake wiht pineapple filling
Pineapple cake with coconut BC filling
Spice cake with apple filling
White or (lightly flavored) orange cake with dreamsicle-flavored filling

Tripple Chocolate Amaretto: Choco WASC with Amaretto flavored whipped ganache filling and choco BC
Strawberry Obsession: Strawberry WASC, white chocolate whipped ganache with either sliced strawberries or seedless straw jam mixed in, covered in vanilla BC
Lemon Lover: Lemon WASC, lemon curd filling with raspberries, covered in lightly flavored lemon BC
Red Velvet: Red Velvet WASC, whipped milk chocolate ganache filling, cream cheese icing
Cotton Candy: Layered fruit flavors all virbant colors, filled and iced with SMBC
White Forrest: White Chocolate WASC, filled with raspberry infused white chocolate whipped ganache, iced with BC
Amaretto: Almond WASC, cherry mousse filling, iced with almond BC
I have MANY more flavors... I tell all my customers if they can dream it I can make it... I used mixed drink recipes as a starting block for many cakes...
Have fun with your cake!

A few of the most requested combos:
vanilla butter cake w/ white choc. mousse strawberry filling (Most requested)
