I've seen some cakes that would work for this.
You can get several wedding pictures; b&w or sephia tone printed on rice paper (either square or round), and then stick it evenly separated around the cake and make a bead/pearl border around the picture....
If you have a lace mold, you can place it as the border around the cake and then the pics right above it.

For my parents 40th Anniversary I took pictures of them together over the years and put their wedding photo in the middle and made a collage and then had it copied on the edible image and put that on the cake. They loved it. Let me know if you want me to post it,I don't remember if I added that to galleries or not.
