Anyone has a fruit cake recipe that does not use eggs, butter and milk? This is for a vegan.

Thanks,

Cheers icon_smile.gif

Here is a link to a recipe that can use soy milk or water, and does not use eggs or butter.
Plus there are only 5 steps from bowl to out of the oven. HTH

I wonder what does "Real Barbados" sugar looks like? icon_smile.gif This is very new to me so get on the ball.

Cheers!

'Barbados' sugar is raw sugar. It has a very fine moist feel to it and is brown in color.
It can be purchased in most health food stores. Do not mistake it for the sugar labled
'Raw Sugar' at your local grocery store. While it is a grade of raw sugar, it is not the
finest grade called for in the recipe.

Thank you so much, because I would have bought dark brown sugar, which is what I use in my regular fruit cakes (Black Jamaican Fruit Cake).

I can't wait to try this recipe.

Cheers!

I've never made 'Friut Cake', but your
Black Jamacian recipe has me tempted.

Good luck with the new recipe and let me know how it turns out.

Cheers!
