Sweetex In New Orleans

Anyone in the New Orleans area or close by can tell me if there is a place that I can buy Sweetex locally? Or any other hi ratio shortening.

I'm just over the state line and I know of no place you can get it except online. I don't even know of any cake decorating shops in NO.

try Koerner's in Harrahan. They are a supply warehouse that supply all the local bakeries. You can make arrangements to pick up from them. Good luck!

I live in Metairie, LA and I buy the Wesson Super Quick Blend Hi Ratio shortening from Koerner's on Jefferson Hwy. I don't think they carry the Sweetex. Their warehouse is open to the public. The 50 pound box was around $60. It's great! Good luck!

I use Quick Blend too. I think I like it better than Sweetex and its cheaper!!

Check out their website www.koerner-co.com
They don't have a store that you can browse through. You have to know what you want when you go in. They have a counter in the warehouse where you walk up to order and pay, then they bring your order out to you. You can call for prices.
