
I just used solo pie filling for the first time....I was in a jam, so I mixed it with Buttercream....Well its WONDERFUL!... Almond is on one layer and raspberry on another and I left one plain buttercream incase anyone cant have nuts or seeds.... Has anyone mixed this in there buttercream?... Must try it!

Last Christmas I made a couple of chocolate/cherry cakes for my parents and aunt. I mixed Cherry Solo Pie and Pastry filling with buttercream for the filling and covered the cakes in ganache. My family loved them!
I've only mixed the raspberry with whipped cream, but I'll try it with buttercream sometime, for sure! I also have some almond and apricot in my pantry. I didn't know how I would used the almond, but mixed with buttercream sounds really good now! Thanks for the review!

I love solo filling. I use the recipe on the almond can for my almond cake layers. It is the best cake I have evr tasted!
I have used the rasp. as filling in cake on it's own and also mixed with BC. The only down side is straining out all those seeds.
I've never tried any other flavors but I will in the future.

I left my seeds in... since it was a 3 layer stacked, I left one layer plain buttercream for those who arent allowed nuts and seeds.
